(1)The unit comes with a stand which I am using, however, I had to find an AC adaptor. Out of the box its easy to hook up, understand and operate. Nice bright clear compact touch screen operation and speech functions make this a winner. Both brands seem to work fine, but I find that Magellan is a little more user friendly. The RoadMate 1212 is small and doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a larger, more expensive model may have, but it gets me from point A to point B pretty efficiently.
